Returning in 2019

In early October, I put Straight from the Lungs on hold. At that point, I was in a bad place with my mental health, caused by lots of things going on in my life. Having a break from producing the podcast was one of the ways to recover. It was a very difficult decision as I’m always excited by each new episode (and there’s one upcoming bit in particular that I’m very proud of) but it was definitely the right decision.

Fortunately I’m feeling so much better now and am getting back to normality; as such, Straight from the Lungs will continue in 2019! I’m not setting an exact date just yet but it will likely be in January or February.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far, your comments and encouraging messages mean the world to me and I’m so humbled by the response the podcast has received already. Seeing just how many countries and people it’s reached in such a short space of time makes me optimistic about the mission of bringing CF into the mainstream. I read every single message I receive so please get in touch if you haven’t already!

Finally, the biggest thank you goes to my family, who supported me through a short albeit dark and difficult time. It was really terrifying to feel things I’d never felt before but I was never alone through the whole process and I feel that I’ve come out the other end a better person. In particular, my fiancée Vicky and my wonderful Mum and Dad were – and always are – there when I needed them the most. I love you all so much.

Thanks for everyone’s patience and look forward to new episodes of Straight from the Lungs in the new year! In the meantime, you can listen to Episodes 1-4 and their Extra Breaths and make sure to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep updated.
